The funeral home was known as Greenwood and Whitlach Funeral Home until 1955, when Don Whitlach moved from the Cherokee area and the name was changed to Greenwood Funeral Home. Matt Schubert FamilyIn 1976, following the death of Frank, his son Tim Greenwood and his wife Patty moved back to Cherokee to own and operate the family funeral home. For over 55 years Greenwood funeral Home has offered thoughtful, caring, and compassionate funeral service to the families of Cherokee and the surrounding areas. Today the Greenwood Funeral Home is owned and operated by former Cherokee native Matt Schubert and his wife Julie.
