Linda, Mike, Hannah, & Mikey I hope we said about everything we could say while I was there but I had to tell you how much it means to me to have been with my good friend Burky literally an hour before he passed. It was kind of eerie but it somehow brings comfort and helps me to remember what a truly great friend Terry was to me , especially over the past few years. He battled some demons but came out way on top. He did that because he cared so much about all of you and that was his most cherished accomplishment. That takes a real special guy. I really loved the Burk and miss him very much. Hoping that you all find some comfort in hearing from Terry's many friends the reminders of what a good guy he was. Love to you all.

Dear Linda,
Kathy Gourley only just today sent us the news of Terry's death. I am so very sorry. What a rarity it is today to see a couple whose marriage has this longevity. Knowing your own absolutely bubbly personality, it seems to have been a happy one. I hope so--the long love of a person is that double-edged sword when they are gone. I hope you have had a lifetime of good memories that will sustain you when you simply just miss him. Please know how well thought of you are.
My condolances to your family, and warmest regards to you.

Hello Linda - I learned yesterday that your husband passed away this past week. As a Veteran of the Armed Forces, I wish to send my formal condolence for your loss considering his contributions to the Cherokee community including his camaraderie with his long-time friends. Regardless of mistakes that are made in life, a life lost too early is a life that is remembered despite opinions that are made on facts and not assumptions.

What can I say? So many times since Thursday I think of Terry's death then pray God's angels are holding each family tight. The road's gonna get bumpy so hold on tight to Whom you believe. I last saw Terry at our 10 year class reunion but it seems like yesterday. It's true, friendship lasts a life-time no matter how many years dot the horizon. It is because of this friendship sealed 46 years ago my eyes water each time his name crosses my mind. 'Back then' Terry was a kind, fun, gentle soul and from what I read he carried that same spirit into his 'grown-up' years. You, Linda, and Terry were synonymous. Terry maybe gone but I am confident because you guys were truly one, will continue carrying on with Terry still with you-inside. I love you Linda and pray this stretch of road won't be as bumpy as we thought. My memoies are 'old' but good!
