I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill when he was with Bigelow, Waller, & Associates. I also continued to work with him periodically when he was with Cherokee County and also the Iowa DOT. I learned many things from Bill both personally and professionally. He was a great man and I was privileged to have worked with him and known him. He will be missed.

Our sincere sympathy to the Bennett family. On my drive to work it gave me time to reflect and realize Bill will always be with us as what we love, we become. And then wondering if that phrase had ever been used I found this Prayer from St. Clare of Assisi …. 'We become what we love, and who we love shapes what we become. If we love things, we become a thing. If we love nothing, we become nothing. Imitation is not a liberal mimicking of Christ, rather it means becoming the image of the beloved, an image disclosed through transformation. This means we are to become vessels of God's compassionate love for others.' - St. Clare of Assisi

Our sincere sympathy to you good neighbor Joyce and family. Helen Steiner Rice once wrote " Time is not measured by the years that you live, but by the deeds that you do and the joy that you give." Bill was a good deed doer with a cheerful greeting and a story to tell. A neighbor who tended the garden like an active Captain of a ship. His hat fit him well. Thank you for sharing your spirit of life with us. Your neighbors on
W Bluff and neighbors in the church.
