Anthony 'Tony' Ross was born November 20, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN. His childhood years were spent in Indianapolis where he received his education. Following graduation, Tony went to work driving truck for Carter Lee Lumber Company for many years.

In 1992, he moved to Akron, IA and worked for Coilcraft in Hawarden for five years. Tony then moved to Cherokee in 1997 and worked for Schoon Construction for several years.

Tony enjoyed fishing, throwing darts, and bowling. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

On January 5, 2014, Tony passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA, at the age of 54. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Kenneth Ross.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ross of Cherokee, IA; Elizabeth's mother, Katherine Malcolm,of Cherokee, IA; and his longtime special friend, Cynthia Arms of Cherokee, IA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given in Tonyís name.

I worked with Tony at Schoon Construction for most of a summer. He was a good guy and co-worker. He had a great sense of humor. He will be missed.
