Sandra Tuttle
September 30, 1958 - May 20, 2014
Sandra J. Tuttle was born in Cherokee, IA, on September 30, 1958. She was the daughter of Lester and Mary Ann (Nilles) Bush. She attended the Maryhill School until the 4th grade, and finished her early education at Meriden-Cleghorn Schools, graduating with the class of 1977.

She worked various jobs following high school, which included construction, bartending at the Shamrock and Pastime, and K-Products. She later attended the Gateway School of Massage Therapy, and owned and operated Natural Health Therapeutic Massage in Cherokee with her sister, Jackie, for 13 years.

On March 18, 1989, she was united in marriage to Timothy Tuttle. They made their home on a farm near Aurelia. Sandy loved helping on the farm--especially working with the new calves. She thoroughly enjoyed her role as a homemaker and mom to Kerstin, Lexy and Wyatt. Her spare time was spent doing crafts, antique shopping, and gardening both vegetables and flowers. She was an excellent cook--best known for her awesome pie and potato salad. She had a great sense of humor, and loved to visit with people.

Sandy passed away from injuries she sustained in an ATV accident on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the family farm. She was 55. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary Ann Bush, sister, Sharon Geary and brother, Mike Bush.

Survivors include her husband Tim; children, Kerstin, Lexy and Wyatt; brothers, Ron (Gayla) Bush, Phil (Norma) Bush, Les Bush; sisters, Shirley Bush, Barb Butler, Elaine (Dave) Kaltved, Jackie (Scott)Reinert; sister-in-law, Julie (Chuck) Wooley, Tim's parents, Ernie and Florence Tuttle, and brothers-in-law, Ernie (Pam) Tuttle, Terry (Mary) Tuttle, and Jeff Tuttle; other relatives and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Bush and Tuttle families. I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Sandy. I grew up in Cherokee and was a few years older than Sandy. I would see her around town quite a bit during high school and up until she got married to you Tim and the two of you started a family. She was always so full of spunk, friendly, and had a great smile and laugh. Even though I have not seen her for many years, I hear from others that she never changed. Hold all of your great memories that you had with Sandy close in your heart. May God bless your families at this most difficult time. In sympathy.

I went to massage school with Sandy, and although I haven't seen her for several years, the memory of her voice, her laughter, and her caring touch have always been dear to me. She was such a delight to know and one of the best bodyworkers I have ever known. My heart aches for your entire family and community. May God bless you with grace and strength in the days ahead.
