Sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. We used to mow her yard and clean her sidewalks for her and any other maintance she needed. My great gma used to live next to her several years ago. She was a very sweet and kind person and will be missed dearly.

Shirley was an important part of the Sanford Museum. She was the secretary/treasurer of the Northwest Chapter of the Iowa Archaeological Society for many, many years. Shirley also did a great deal of volunteer work for the museum. She and Chuck had many adventures with the museum and contributed both archaeological specimens and hours and hours of work cleaning and numbering artifacts. Shirley was a life-long learner and that, I am sure, is what kept her so young at heart!

Dear quiet, cheerful friend through UU church, has left us for a
moment. We will be reminded of her by the tiny wood violets in
the spring, and the wildflowers she loved will be back with the
quiet beauty and gentleness of the life she loved so dearly.
