Cat and family, We send out deepest sympathies on the loss of Dan. With working for Halletts we got to know dan and his humor and big heart when he was "across the yard" at Russells. Always nice to see him when he came here to Lake View to haul gravel. Just wanted to let you know we have been thinking of you and will miss him also.

AWESOME,Awesome,Awesome video tribute!! I will always remember Dan the way he was in the pictures at his Mom ans Dads farm, with Mitzi (the dog)on his lap, I am very fortunate to have his sister for a best friend and fortunate for Dan to have played a role in being a somewhat "role model" for what a big brother would have been like if I would have had brothers.

I will never forget Dan. I glad for him that his suffering is over. He always had a joke or would try to make you laugh, even when he felt terrible. My sympathies to Kat and Jamie. He told me many times how much he loved the both of you.

We are never promised tommorow and this passing of a dear friend, beloved father, long time husband and never boring brother has reminded all of us of that. 'Bear' was a type of person who was born with a personality that noone could ever duplicate. He had a way of making your day better with the sense of humor that very few attained. Even though he has passed at a younger age than most there is no denying that he lived a very full life... whether it be working on mopars or driving and hauling for Russells' Ready Mix. He did his job and did it very well. He was not a teacher by profession but his ability to teach his son and 'adopted children' what he knew was everlasting and will be held dear to them over the span of a lifetime. He was big hearted...sometimes hard to see it but you always knew it was there. His loving wife 'Cat' who stood by his side no matter what came at them or whether he was right or wrong she loved him for who he was and made sure he knew it. She is my insperation. She is a rock that will continue to hold strong. Even with our beloved 'Bear' gone we all have his memory forever etched in our hearts and that is where he will stay. For he is not gone but simply in a better place watching over all of us with perhaps not a smile but a sh** eating grin. To his family we are deeply sorry for your loss we loved Dan very dearly and he will be missed.
