Edward “Eddie” Jones

 

Edward Jones, 58, of LeMars, Iowa, and formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, died Saturday November 3, 2007 in a truck accident in LeMars, Iowa.

 

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday November 12, 2007 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Peter Boe will officiate.  Military Rites will be provided by V.F.W. L.A. Wescott Post #2253 Cherokee, Iowa.

 

Ed was born on June 15, 1949 in Cherokee, Iowa to Kern and Mildred (Olsen) Jones.  He attended Washington High School and graduated in 1968.  He entered the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Ed worked for John Morrell in Sioux City and also did summer work for the City of Le Mars.

 

He is survived by a brother, Ervin Jones and his wife, Shirley, of Aurelia, Ia.; two sisters, Linda Vannatta and her husband, LuVerne, of Cherokee, Ia., Diane McKee of Le Mars, Ia.

 

He was preceded in death by a brother Harry Jones.
