Jerri L. (Gilmore) Shuberg
Jerri L. (Gilmore) Shuberg, 57, of Maxwell,
Iowa died Thursday March 13, 2008
in the Israel Family Hospice House of Ames, Iowa after a lengthy battle with
cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday March
22, 2008 at the First Lutheran Church,
Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Pastor Tonna
Parsons will officiate. Burial will be
in the Lone Tree
Cemetery, Sioux Rapids, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Greenwood Funeral Home of Cherokee, Iowa is in charge of
arrangements. Online condolences may be

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the family
which will be given to the Israel Family Hospice House of Ames, Iowa and also
the First Lutheran Church of Sioux Rapids, Iowa.
Jerri was born on June 6, 1950 in Spencer, Iowa
to Von and Darlene (Fanning) Brower. She
attended Sacred Heart
Catholic School
in Spencer, Iowa
through the 8th grade and then attended Spencer High School
her freshman year. Following this year,
her family moved to California
where she finished her schooling. In 1970
she moved back to the Spencer, Iowa
area and married Charlie Gilmore on March 6, 1974. In 1992 she became a Certified Nurses Aide
and worked in Long Term Care for many years.
On April 14, 2001 she married Kevin Shuberg in
Sioux Falls, South Dakota after a 10 year courtship. Jerri enjoyed
playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, crocheting, and collecting
frogs. She especially liked spending
time with her family and her dog Gizmo.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin; three daughters,
Nancy Binder and her husband, Zac, of Rembrandt,
Iowa; Heidi Gilmore and her fiancé, Mason Drefke, of
Greenville, Iowa; Lynette Gilmore and her fiancé, Tim Griffin, of Spencer,
Iowa; a son, John Gilmore and his wife, Shelly, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa;
step-sons, Sam Shuberg and his wife, Lisa, of Ixonia, Wisconsin; Ben Shuberg
and his wife, Emily, of Cherokee, Iowa; step-daughter, Heidi Shuberg of Milford, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; parents,
Darlene and Ben Griffiths; a brother, Terry Brower and his wife, Sharon, of
Spencer, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her father Von Brower.
