Pauline M. Larsen

 

Pauline M. Larsen, 97, of Cherokee, Iowa died Saturday April 12, 2008 at Careage Hills Nursing Home, Cherokee, Iowa following a brief illness.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday April 15, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cherokee, Iowa.  Rev. Richard Arndt will officiate.  Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee, Iowa.  Memorials are requested for the Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be left at www.greenwoodfuneral.com.

 

Pauline was born on June 19, 1910 in Carroll, Iowa to John and Marie (Jager) Paulsen.  On January 22, 1930 she married Evert L. Larsen in Wayne, Nebraska.  He preceded her in death on November 14, 1976. 

 

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Stieneke and her husband, Fred, of Cherokee, IA; Darlene Hanson of Dixon, IL; a son, Evert Larsen Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Cherokee, IA; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Larry Larsen, a daughter Delores Rupp, four grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Kieper, Alvine Bush, Augusta Finn, and Dorothy Trautman; brothers, Carl Paulsen and Herman Paulsen.
