“Celestine was my mother's good friend and possibly a cousin. Catherine (Smith) Rasmussen was the daughter of Stanley and Louisa (George) Smith. Louisa was from Cherokee and had strong ties to the Eischen family. If you could contact me, I would be so grateful. Mom passed in 1978 and I am researching her family. Seeing Celestine's obituary brought tears as I have a necklace that Celestine gave to mother when she was in the 8th grade. Thank you.”

“Dear Harry Eischen family members:
I was just alerted to Beloved Celestine's earthly death via Fr. Armand.
Now a Wonder-FULL movement from the temporary home 'here' that we all try with great effort to secure - toward the Joys of a home in one of HIS Mansions (i.e. to a better, indeed, an ETERNAL HOME. Celestine's Faith and Faithfulnes is beyond doubt and certainly is her Eternal Passport into LIFE - The Lord's great gift to His Faithful, that of an Eternal Life.
I viewed the Video and am so thankful for it since so much of it called to mind my personal and pastoral experiences of involvement and joy with you all as since the time of my coming to Maryhill in 1970. Joyful, thankful, loving tears sparkled from my eyes to my cheeks during that family video recollection.
I regret my personal absence from the Liturgy of the Resurrection that celebrated her life among us for 95 years this past week due to being away for at least 'some of' Iowa's wintry antics at this time.
I will offer Holy Mass for 'Mom' -- and you all, tomorrow morning - a Mass of the Resurrection for her and in support of you all during the inevitable grieving experiences at hand.
Love,care, prayer ...
+ With Spiritual Rejoicing to and with you all....
Fr. Gene ”

“Dear Monica, family and loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you for your loss. I did not know your mother but I am sure she must have been a special lady to have gone to college and graduated during the depression when very few women even went to college. She must have been a dedicated, intelligent and loving person to have accomplished raising such a successful family as well. God blesses all of you and He has a very special place in heaven for Celestine. In remembrance, Monica's Washington High School classmate, Mark Cunningham”

“So sorry to hear about your loss. After my mother called to tell me about her passing I had to share with my children and husband what a great neighbor she was to us throughout the years. I have a lot of very good memories of her. You are in our thoughts and prayers. ”

“Please accept my sincere sympathy to your family. Celestine was a truly kind woman who will be missed by many. I have many fond memories of Celestine. I got to know Celestine when I worked at Country Side. There's one unique and interesting thing that I found out about Celestine that I'll always remember. We both share the same birthday. We did get to celebrate a couple of times together while I was there. Those are the memories that will last forever. My prayers are with your family at this time. ”
