“Sheree, Janene, Carla and Bruce; I was so sorry to see news of your mom's passing. We had spent time with her every summer for the past several years, until last summer, when we didn't come to Iowa. I can say without question she was the best and closest friend I ever had, and I missed living close to her. She was a remarkable woman, who loved her family above all, and loved life and friends deeply too. May she rest in peace, she fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. I will cherish all my wonderful memories of her, going back to the early 1960's. Bill and I both send our sincere condolences to all of her family. ”
