Anthony "Tony" Eugene McAlpine

October 3, 1986 — August 21, 2020

Anthony “Tony” McAlpine, the son of John McAlpine and Marlene Prostrollo, was born on October 3, 1986, in Cherokee, IA. His childhood years were spent in Larrabee. He attended school in Cherokee where he graduated from Washington High School in 2005.

Tony worked at Bogenrief Studios in Sutherland, Staple’s in Marcus, and most recently at Mummert Construction.

Tony was known as a funny person that could make everyone laugh. He had the ability to imitate anyone or anything. He was known for going on his little rants, and wanted the whole world to know exactly what was on his mind. He loved his house, his Acura, and smoking ribs, which he made sure everyone, had to try. If Tony knew there was a good time about to happen, he made sure he was there to make it even better. He also liked music, the louder the better and from what his sister says, “He had MAD dancing skills!”

In his free time, Tony enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, painting, music, drawing, and art. He also liked bonfires and tending to his house plants. Most of all, he loved his two boys, Braxton and Theodore.

On Friday, August 21, 2020, Tony passed from injuries suffered in an auto accident at the age of 33. He was preceded in death by his father, John McAlpine and two uncles, Mark and Matthew McAlpine.

He will lovingly be remembered by his mother, Marlene Prostrollo of Larrabee, IA; his two boys, Braxton McAlpine and Theodore Morris; his sister, Christina (Isaac Cruz) McAlpine of Larrabee, IA; one niece, Alana Cruz; one nephew, Ezra Cruz; his girlfriend, Emma Morris; and several other relatives, and friends.
