Audrey F. Underwood

Audrey Faye Underwood, the daughter of Hans William and Lucille (Tesch) Hurtig, was born April 27, 1939 in Paulina, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Elwin :Bub" Wright on June 6, 1961. She was remarried to Norman Underwood on June 29, 1990. She lived in Sioux City and Cherokee, Iowa. She was a friend and savior to animals throughout her life. She raised, groomed, and rescued cats and dogs. She assisted in care of her grandchildren and daycare children as she was able and available to the family and community. Audrey passed into eternal rest after a brief illness on June 19, 2016 at Mercy Health Center in Sioux City. She was 77 years of age. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Robert Wright of Cherokee and Lonnie Wright of Sioux City. Two daughters Lori Wright of Cherokee and Roberta and her husband Bart Miller of Sioux City. Stepson Tony Underwood and his wife Misty of Omaha, Nebraska, Six grandchildren Amber Wright, BJ Wright, and Courtney Johnson of Cherokee; Simon Miller, Heather Miller and Shawn Miller of Sioux City. Four brothers, Waldo of Hartley; Donald and his wife LaDonna of Paulina; Vern and his wife Pam of Hewitt, Minnesota; and Rich of Bertha, Minnesota; three sisters; Jolene and her husband Kenneth Specht of Paulina; Marge Metheny of Alton; Pam and her husband Pat Hill of Paulina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Sheryl Rae, her brothers Marlo and Loren, her sister Myrna and both of her ex-husbands.
