Barbara Carlson

February 18, 1930 — January 5, 2017

Barbara (Puhrmann) Carlson was born on February 18, 1930, the daughter of George and Josephine (Durmich) Puhrmann. She graduated from the Larrabee High School. In 1948 she married Arnold Carlson and they farmed west of Marcus until they retired and moved to Marcus in 1986. She was involved in many volunteer jobs, from teacher's aide, the Heartland Auxiliary, to Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and a granddaughter. Her surviving family includes her children; Alan (Bobbie) Carlson, Joy Carlson, Ann (Ken) Heidesch, Scott (Christy) Carlson, and Kirk (Brenda) Carlson; one brother, George Puhrmann; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

SERVICES

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2017, at Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus.
