Beverly Irene Paeper

Beverly Irene (Waterman) Paeper was born in Sac City, Iowa on July 6, 1945, the daughter of Paul and Iva (Geary) Waterman. She attended the local schools and graduated from Sac City High School.

She was united in marriage to Darwin D. Paeper on October 11, 1963, and the couple lived in several northwest Iowa communities before making their home in Cherokee in 1978. In addition to taking care of the home and raising her family, Bev worked at K Products for 25 years. She also helped out at Carey’s restaurant part time for many years.

 Leisure time for Bev was spent putting puzzles together, watching Western movies, taking road trips and shopping. She loved family time, including games with the grandkids, camping and fishing.

 Following Darwin’s death in 2015, Beverly made her home in Milford, Iowa, to be closer to family. It was there that she passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2019, having reached the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 19 days.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Marvin, Lutheran and Larkin Waterman.

 Survivors include her children: Larry (Lisa) Paeper of Cherokee, Mike (Laura) Paeper of Terrill, IA, and Lisa Westcott of Milford, IA; one brother, Paul (Julie) Waterman, Jr. of Carroll, IA; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Waterman of Litton, IA; her grandchildren: Christopher Mitchell, Amanda Paeper, John Friedrichsen, Brooke Archuleta, Trent Sutter, Josh (Mesidhe) Sauter, James Westcott, Michael Paeper, Jr., Dana (Lindsey) Wendt, Ashley (Matt) Cooke, and Sara Meyer; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
