Brian Alan Kephart

Brian Alan Kephart, age 35 of Cherokee, IA, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at an Omaha hospital, with his family by his side. A celebration of Brian’s life will take place at a later date. Brian Alan Kephart, the son of Gerald and Karen (Bottorf) Kephart, was born September 29, 1988, in Cherokee, IA. His childhood years were spent in Cherokee, where he received his education and graduated from Washington High School in 2007. Following graduation, he attended DMAC College in Des Moines, IA, and later Iowa State University for a short time.

 After college, Brian lived in Ames, IA, for a short time. In 2011, He moved to Omaha, NE and later Lincoln, NE, where he worked the front desk at hotels, a job he really enjoyed. On February 24, 2024, he moved back to Cherokee, IA, to be closer to family.

 In his free time, Brian enjoyed playing video games, Pokémon, Origami, and puppetry. More than anything, he loved his cat Murray and spending time with his family and friends.

On May 20, 2024, Brian passed away at an Omaha Hospital at the age of 35. He was preceded by his parents, Gerald and Karen Kephart.

 He is survived by his brother, Chris (Kari) Kephart of Cherokee, IA; nieces and nephews, Bella and Miles, and Abby, Alex, and Trent; as well as other relatives and friends.
