Christopher "Chris" Kenneth James Jensen

Christopher “Chris” Kenneth James Jensen, the son of Jack Jensen and Cindy Coe was born on May 10, 1979, in Guthrie Center, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Denison, IA where he attended school and then transferred to IKM in Manning.

Following his schooling, Chris worked as a mechanic for several years in Denison and later owned his own business, Jensen Service Center.

Chris was united in marriage to Tessa Fletcher on September 7, 2019, at the Silver Sioux Barn near Quimby, IA. They resided in Cherokee, where he worked as a youth worker for the Youth Emergency Center in Cherokee.

Chris had a lot of hobbies that kept him busy. He loved mowing lawns on his riding lawn mower. He also enjoyed grilling and cooking BBQ, tinkering on cars and trucks, attending car races, and traveling. Most of all, he loved the time spent with his family and friends.

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, Chris passed away at the Accura Healthcare in Cherokee, following a lengthy illness, at the age of 43. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Jensen; one son, Jack Paul Jensen; grandparents, Bill and Mina Jensen, and Duane Coe, and June Baugher.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tessa Jensen of Cherokee, IA; his children, Noah Harlow and his son, Jackson of Omaha, NE and Jayden Jensen and her son, Matthew Schultz of Manilla, IA; step-daughters, Kaylee and Lily Jorgensen of Cherokee, IA; his mother, Cindy (Larry) Guzinski of Stewart, IA; siblings, Craig Jensen of Denison, IA; Leslie (Lamont) Hibbert of Perry, IA, and Bobby (Sara) Sisk of Hubbard, IA; step-brother, Travis Guzinski of Stewart, IA; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
