Christopher David Wester

Christopher David Wester was born in Cherokee, Iowa on February 17, 1997. He lived most of his life in Cleghorn with his mom and dad, Eric and Sara (Ouderkirk) Wester, and siblings Kyle and Annie before the family moved to the farm located north of Cleghorn. He graduated from Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School. He continued his schooling at South Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota where he was majoring in Psychology.

 Chris enjoyed hiking, watching Cylcone and Gopher football and basketball. There was a special place in his heart for his mom's homemade soups and casseroles. In true Wester fashion, he took immense pleasure in beating his siblings at games. He was a devoted uncle to his nephew, Jackson. Chris' favorite holiday was Christmas--he put a great deal of thought and effort into the gifts he gave. He will be especially missed during the Christmas season. Most importantly, Chris knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

 In death he rejoins his grandparents, Ruby and Vernon Wester and Elmer and Virginia Ouderkirk, and his Uncle Rodney Olson.

 Survivors include his parents, Eric and Sara, brother Kyle (Olivia) Wester and their son, Jackson, and his sister Andrea Wester, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
