Harry H. Neiman

Harry Neiman, the son of Emil and Mary (Schmidt) Neiman, was born October 18, 1925 near Herrick, SD. His childhood years were spent on the farm near St. Charles, SD where he attended school. Following his schooling, Harry helped his father farm. On April 18, 1948, Harry was united in marriage to Elaine Meyer. Following their marriage they worked on a ranch near Woodlake, NE. In 1952, the couple moved to Wayne, NE where he worked at the egg plant, Wayne Grain and Feed, Dier's Supply Store, and managed the Wayne Golf Course. Harry enjoyed woodworking, his dogs, fishing, golfing, horses, welding, and making lawn ornaments. Most of all, Harry loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On October 29, 2011, Harry passed away at his residence in Quimby at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil Karl and Mary Neiman; grandparents, Karl and Justine (Banho) Neumann; three brothers, Ervin Neiman, Vernon Neiman, Marin Neiman; three sisters, Irene, Viola, and Opal; and one grandson, Christopher Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Neiman of Quimby, IA and formerly Wayne, NE; one son, Jim (Mary) Neiman of Coleridge, NE; two daughters, Lorraine (Randall) Johnson of Wayne, NE, and Linda (Roger) Bartels of Kearney, NE; four sisters: Mary Lee of Worthington, MN, Della of Vallejo, CA, Leona of Denver, CO, and Maxine of Garden Grove, CA; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends. The family requests that memorials be sent to Elaine Neiman at her new address at 1193 180th St. Cherokee, IA. 51012
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Praise Assembly of God Church in Wayne, NE.
