Jerri Kae Frangenberg, a cosmetologist, CNA, and resident of Cherokee, Iowa died on May 26, 2022 at the age of 65. She survived by her mother Joan Anderson; step-father Kenneth Anderson; her daughter Grace Teusink and significant other Zachary Nicolai; grandson Grant Nicolai; granddaughter Miley Nicolai; step-daughter Camille Rasmussen; sister Lucille Meadows; sister Rena Frangenberg; brother Fred Frangenberg; half-brother Robert Frangenberg; and friend Chris Boothby-Robinson. Jerri was preceded in death by her father George Frangenberg; and niece Stephanie Meadows.
Jerri was born on April 9, 1957 in Pico Rivera, CA. She moved to Calumet, Iowa with her family at age 3 in 1960. In 1982 Jerri graduated from Stewarts School of Hairstyling in Sioux City, Iowa and continued with cosmetology throughout her life including working at Scissors with many friends in Peoria, Illinois. She was an avid reader and her hobbies included cooking her famous homemade dishes like her bread or stromboli, gardening, lifting weights and working out in the gym, and taking care of her beloved dogs. She was a breast cancer survivor and active for many years in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Race for the Cure .
Jerri was married to Rick Teusink on August 11, 1984. The two were sole mates and friends throughout the rest of her life. They were blessed with a daughter, Grace in 1997. Jerri will be dearly missed by her friends and family still on this earth.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.
