Joan B. Oentrich

Joan Beverly Stratton Oentrich, the daughter of William and Mildred (Thomson) Stratton was born on April 15, 1935 in Quimby, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Quimby where she attended school. She graduated from Quimby High School in 1952.

 Following her schooling, Joan worked at the Cherokee Mental Health for 33 plus years. She also worked at Steele State Bank, Home Health Care, and Cherry Street House.

 She was united in marriage to Bill Baker and Arlo “Ozzie” Oentrich. She was blessed with one daughter, Cindy.

 On November 23, 2020, Joan passed away at Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee, IA at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Stratton; her husband, Ozzie Oentrich; her daughter, Cindy Baker Tinker; son-in-law, Bruce; and one brother, Joe.

 She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Bob Stratton; sister-in-law, Mary Stratton; son-in-law, Joe Tinker; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
