John Dean, Jr., the son of John and Agnes (Schiewe) Dean, Sr. was born November 27, 1947, in Cherokee, IA. In 1948, John was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and several other medical conditions that required him to reside at various medical facilities and hospitals. John had lived at Woodward State Hospital School, Gregg's Hilltop Care Center, in Cherokee, IA, and most recently at the Glenwood State Hospital in Glenwood, IA.
Even though John had many struggles throughout his life, he will be remembered and missed by the many medical professionals and friends that took care of him for many years. On April 28, 2014, John passed away at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, NE, at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and John Dean, Sr.
John is survived by his sister, Ruth Dean of Cherokee, Iowa.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.
