Joseph Neal Wood

December 21, 1953 — September 12, 2015

Joseph Neal Wood, the son of Eugene and Dolores (Addudell) Wood was born on December 21, 1953, in Ida Grove, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Ida Grove where he attended and graduated from school. Joe was a religious man who loved to read the Bible and lead prayer services at Careage Hills Nursing Home. He was an avid coin collector, reader, and chess player. He also enjoyed riding his motorized scooter to garage sales. Most of all he enjoyed the company of his many friends. On September 12, 2015, Joe passed away at Careage Hills Nursing Home at the age of 61. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dolores Wood. He is survived by two brothers, Mark and Steve Wood; one nephew, Peyton Wood; and other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the Careage Hills Nursing Home in Cherokee.
