Larry Dean Paeper

Larry Dean Paeper, the son of Darwin and Beverly (Waterman) Paeper, was born August 26, 1964, in Storm Lake, IA. His childhood years were spent in Ida Grove, IA, where he attended grade school. His family moved to Cherokee, IA and where he graduated from Washington High School.

 After high school, he worked as a cook in Ida Grove. He also detailed cars. His love for detailing cars led him to Washington State, where he spent 10 years working at a Cadillac dealership. In 1996, he moved back to Cherokee, and worked for Tyson’s. Following their closure, he worked for Holzhauer Motors.

 Larry was a car enthusiast his entire life. He loved participating in demolition derbies for many years. He also enjoyed collecting model cars. He also worked on cars, attended to his garden, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family.

 On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Larry passed away at his residence at the age of 56. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Beverly Paeper.

 He is survived by his sister, Lisa Westcott (Kevin Kroll) of Milford, IA; brother, Michael (Laure) Paeper of Terrill, IA; children, Christopher Mitchell of Calumet, IA, Amanda (John Friedrichsen) Paeper of Cherokee, IA, and Brooke Archuleta of Takoma, WA; grandchildren, McKenna, Mailanni, Mitchell, and Sarah;  and other relatives and friends.
