Marilyn M. Steward

 Marilyn Marie Steward, the daughter of Lloyd and Margaret (Unkrur) Steward was born November 9, 1951 in Cherokee, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Cherokee where she attended school and graduated from Washington High School. Following graduation, Marilyn worked at Quinn’s Station where she pumped gas and helped in the store. She eventually worked for Tyson Foods in Cherokee for over 30 years.

 Marilyn enjoyed walking. She could be spotted walking miles and miles every day around Cherokee. She was also known to be a hard worker. Through her hard work and saving she was able to build a new home five years ago which she enjoyed. Marilyn also enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

 On Friday, July 12, 2019, Marilyn passed away at a Sioux City hospital at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Steward and her brother, Mike Steward.

 She will lovingly be remembered by her mother, Margaret Steward and her special friend, Eugene Ferris of Cherokee; two sisters; five brothers; and many nieces and nephews; and friends.
