Marlys married Don E. Alldredge on Aug 11, 1956 at Imaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee, IA

They moved to IL., for a short time, then to IA for approx. 1 year., before settling in the Colby Ks. area.
Don worked for Vacin Farms Inc., Colby, KS for 32 years, and Hills Farms prior to moving to NW. Arkansas.
While in the Colby area., Marlys fed not only her family but also the farmhands who were hired for help on the farm. Then she was hired on at the Colby Public Schools as a baker. She worked for the schools for many years as a baker. She also loved canning/preserving what they grew in the garden.
Marlys also loved doing Geneology, and spent many years connecting folks not only in the United States but England, and Germany.
Don and Marlys were members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Marlys was a member of the Alter Society, and later in years sang in the Choir.

It was very bittersweet, when they moved to NW Arkansas and left so many very close friends, neighbors and family behind, to be closer to thier Son and his family in 1990.

While living in Rogers, AR., Marlys also worked in the Bentonville Schools as a Cook for several years before retirement.

Marlys will be surely missed by many.

We can hear her sister Shirley Kennedy say to her: "Well, You coming in?"

And Dad (her husband) smiling, and saying: " I always told you Marlys, I would be waiting just beyond the moon!" ( A old Tex Ritter Song, they would sing together, when it came on the radio - Just beyond the Moon.)
