Mary Margaret (Meg) Wilkinson

Mary Margaret (Meg) Wilkinson, Arvada, Colorado, died June 6, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born December 13, 1925 in Cherokee, Iowa to Dr. James H. Wise and Inez Easton Wise.

 She is survived by her husband of 22 years John R. (Jack) Wilkinson, sister Virginia Phipps of Cherokee, Iowa, sister-in-law Julie Wise of Ft. Collins, Colorado; daughter Virginia Lawlor and husband Randy Raak of Golden, CO, sons Jeff Lawlor of St. Croix, USVI, James Lawlor and wife Marilyn May of Anchorage, AK, John Lawlor and wife Brenda of Mt. Vernon, WA, five grandsons, five great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her husbands, JF Lawlor MD and John Poggenklass.

 She was a retired RN and active in many community and church groups including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Community Theater, Red Cross, March of Dimes, Cancer drives, and Adult Education. She was the first woman president of the Board of Directors of the Cherokee Country Club. She was an avid golfer, scoring a hole in one in 2005 at the age of 79. She was also an accomplished bridge player, enjoyed deep sea fishing, and traveling. Truly she defined the term “classy lady” and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
