Matilda Margaret VanPelt

Matilda Margaret VanPelt, the daughter of Harvey and Mable Wolf, was born January 9, 1924, in Nebraska. Her childhood years were spent in Hartington, NE, where she attended school and graduated from Hartington High School. After school, she worked as a sales clerk.

 On December 2, 1945, Matilda was united in marriage to Clifford VanPelt at Coleridge, NE. They were blessed with two children, Doug and Darla. They lived in Alta, IA, before moving to Cherokee, IA. Following their retirement they moved to Florida.

 Matilda enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. She also liked to sew. Most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends.

 On July 11, 2021, Matilda passed away at the Mayfield Retirement Center at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mable Wolf; husband, Clifford VanPelt; son-in-law, Craig Good; three brothers, and three sisters.

 She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Doug VanPelt of Leesburg, FL, and Darla Good of Cherokee, IA;  four grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
