Monte Raymond Noethe

Monte Raymond Noethe, the son of Lawrence and Gladys (Schwebach) Noethe was born June 6, 1940 in Sioux County, IA. His childhood years were spent near Melvin, IA where he attended school and graduated from Melvin High School in 1960. Monte was united in marriage to Carolyn Tesch on June 4, 1960 in Hartley, IA. Following their marriage they lived in several communities before they moved to Cherokee in 1969. Monte was employed at Wilson Foods for many years until his retirement in 2002. Monte enjoyed fishing in Canada, racing stock cars, woodworking, and making Christmas candy for his family. Most of all he enjoyed being around his family and friends. On November 2, 2011, Monte passed away at the Sunset Knoll Nursing Home in Aurelia at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Gladys Noethe; two sisters: Alice Foreman and Mary Baughman; and one brother, Jack Noethe. He is survived by his children and their families: Tami (Bob) Bush of Cherokee and their children Shane and Shelby, Toni Ohl of Hinton, IA and children Amanda (Greg) Korleski, Dylan, Alli, and Natalie, Ty (Yong I) Noethe of O'Fallon, IL and their child Samuel, Tera Shaefer and special friend, Mark Eckerman of Cherokee and children, Joe (Mandy), Amber, Autumn, and Shanon, and Thad (Kim) Noethe of Rosamond, CA and their children Joshua, Olivia, and Emily; his special friend, Carolyn Chase of Cherokee, IA; sisters, Bernice of Des Moines, IA, Paula of Sibley and Gail (Roger) of Sibley, IA; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Gym in Cherokee, IA.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. at the gym and will continue until service time.
