Pamela A. Rus

Pamela Ann Rus, the daughter of Charles and Norma (Catlett) Schutte was born December 21, 1955 in Nebraska City, NE. Her childhood years were spent in Auburn, NE where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Robert Rus in Auburn. Following marriage, they moved to Washington State where she worked at home raising their three children; Sarah, Zach, and Hannah. 

In 1991, they moved to Sutherland where she found her passion for animals and eventually became a vet tech . Pamela was an active member of the Sutherland Church of Christ. She had an unwavering faith in Christ, and always enjoyed reading her bible. The other things that were important in her life were Nebraska Cornhusker sports, animals of all kinds, especially her dog, Herbie, canning vegetables, and watching television shows. Most of all, Pamela enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On January 12, 2018, Pamela passed away at St Lukes hospital Sioux City at the age of 62. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Norma Schutte.

She will lovingly be remembered by her children, Sarah (Nic) Rohlfsen of Sutherland, IA, Zach Rus of Des Moines, IA, and Hannah Weier of Calumet, IA; one sister, Judy (Roger) Klooz of Lexington, NE; one brother, Gale (Amy) Schutte of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren, Emilee, Raeonna, Dawson,Ava,  Lilly, Jaxon, Vayda, Jordy, and Edgar; one special friend, Bobby Rauth of Alaska; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the Sutherland Church of Christ in Sutherland, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the church with the family present during that time.
