Patricia 'Pat'Ann Bittner, the daughter of Roy and Adelaide (Kreul) Eichler, was born January 27, 1948, in Laurens, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Pocahontas where she received her education and Graduated from Pocahontas Catholic High School in 1966. After high school, she attended business school in Nebraska.
On March 29, 1969, Pat was united in marriage to Rick Bittner in Pocahontas. Following their marriage, they moved to Cherokee, IA. She had worked for J.C. Penney, Cherokee Community Credit Union, Casey's General Store, and most recently Kennedy Chiropractic where she worked for many years until her health declined.
Pat enjoyed soap operas, puzzles, and attending her grandchildren's activities. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a caring and loving person who put family first. She was a great mom and wonderful grandma.
On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, Pat passed away at a hospital in Sioux City, IA surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Rick Bittner in 2009; her parents, Roy and Adelaide Eichler; and one sister, Kathleen Ramciotti.
She will lovingly be remembered by her three daughters: Jeanna Bittner of Omaha, NE, Jodi Nixon of Aurelia, IA, and Lindi (Todd) Stykel of Cherokee; Four grandchildren: Zach, Madison, Derek, and Emily; two brothers: Joe (Sharon) Eichler of Coldwater, OH, and Mike (Barb) Eichler of Pocahontas, IA; special friend, Connie Ruge of Cherokee; as well as several nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at noon on Friday, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday night at Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Friday, at the funeral home.
