Robert Eugene Grauer

Bob was born September 10, 1939 in Cherokee, Iowa to Fred and Cecelia (Mackowski) Grauer. He attended school in Cherokee, Iowa. Following his schooling he went to work for Berglund Motor Company in Cherokee, Iowa. Later, he worked for the City of Cherokee Water Department for several years. Finally, Bob was the night courier for the Cherokee Daily Times. In 1960 Bob was married to Jan Grapenthin. Bob enjoyed coffee at Archie Bunkers, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Janita Hirschman, and her husband, Tom, of Cherokee, Iowa; Jana Pedersen, and her husband, Kent, of Cascade, Iowa; Jayla Graybill, and her husband, Brett, of Cherokee, Iowa; Jalene Woods, and her husband, Tim, of Meriden, Iowa; a son, Jaryl Grauer, and his wife, Barb, of Cherokee, Iowa; his children's mother, Jan, of Cherokee, Iowa; sisters, Evelyn Stoner, of Cherokee; Darlene Radke, and her husband, Don, of Cherokee, Iowa; Lila Saxby, and her husband, Orville, of Cherokee, Iowa; Shirley Larson, and her husband, LeRoy, of Cherokee, Iowa; Mary Ann Rasmus, and her husband, Bill, of San Diego, California; Marjorie Veale, and her husband, Joe, of San Diego, California; one brother, Sherald Grauer and his wife Carol of Cherokee, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Wilma Grauer, of Sanborn, Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother (Dale), a brother-in-law, Charles Stoner.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday night at the funeral home
