Rosalie M. Nehring

Rosalie Mae Evans Nehring, the daughter of Mayford and Eileen (Borcherding) Johnson, was born July 31, 1946, in Sac City, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Storm Lake, IA, where she attended school and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1964. Following graduation, she worked at the Storm Lake Courthouse until 1978. After graduating from AIB (American Institute of Business) where she earned her Bachelors Degree, she worked for the engineering department at the Des Moines Water Works.

Rosalie was united in married to John Evans. They resided in Storm Lake, IA. She was later united in marriage to Richard Nehring on September 1, 2001 at Cherokee, IA. They lived in Des Moines, IA, before recently moving back to Cherokee.

Rosalie enjoyed her cats, tending to her flowers, gardening, playing cards, and going for walks. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

On Friday, December 2, 2022, Rosalie passed away at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayford and Eileen Johnson; one sister, Diane Kaye Nehring;  her son, Adam Matthew Evans; and step-child, Lisa Kaye Nehring-Tucker.

She will lovingly be remembered by her children, Nicholas John (Jessie) Evans, and Chandrika Kathleen Evans; step-children, Paul (Chris) Nehring, David (Yolanda) Nehring, and Dawn (Tommy) Zoch; grandchildren, Elissa Marie Evans, Adrianna Skye Taylor, Stella Lou Evans, and Gage Sebastian Taylor; step-grandchildren, Taylor  Nehring, Jordan Nehring, Anthony Back, and Jeremiah Back; great-granddaughter, Sadie Ann Chatelain; great-step-granddaughter, Aurora Back; siblings, Sheryl Anderson, Kathy Hawkins, Connie Roche, and Dean Johnson; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
