Shirley Maye Full, the daughter of John A. and Alvina (Michels) Cloos, was born in Spring Brook, Iowa, on September 11, 1933. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Sioux City, IA in 1951, and then attended Ellis Beauty School, graduating in 1953. On July 4, 1953, she was united in marriage to Leslie J. Full. The couple moved to Cleghorn, Iowa in 1956, and Shirley worked as a Certified Dietary Manager at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee, retiring after 26 years in 1998. She had also been a homemaker and busy mom to their four children. In her retirement, she enjoyed gambling, watching the Weather Channel, playing cards (especially Pinochle), crossword puzzles and playing games on her Ipad. The highlight of her day was a phone call from one of her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, but over the past few years, had watched church services on television. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Les, in 2009; a granddaughter, Heidi Full; two brothers, Eugene Cloos and Clifford Cloos; two sisters, Rose Marie Smith and Joanne Brace. Survivors include her children: Pam and Dan Morrow of Cherokee, IA, Douglas and Rebecca Full of Belmond, IA, Bruce Full and Nancy Nelson of Sargent Bluff, IA, and Teresa and Earl Larsen of Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 18th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Visitation with the family present will be from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.,Sunday, May 17th at Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. A prayer service will follow at 5:00 p.m.
