Travis Justin Friedrichsen

Travis Justin Friedrichsen, the son of Burton and Martha Kay (Hiland) Friedrichsen, was born October 17, 1976, at Denison, IA. His childhood years were spent in Denison where he received his early education. His family later moved to Cherokee, IA where he graduated from Washington High School in 1995. Following graduation, Travis moved to Sioux City, IA where he worked as a mechanic for several years. He then moved to Spencer where he was a press operator for R.J. Donley and most recently worked in general maintenance for Tyson Foods in Storm Lake. Travis enjoyed working on cars, building computers, and fishing. He also loved his companion black lab Charlie. Travis will be loved and missed by his family and friends. On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Travis passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lakeside, IA at the age of 37. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Kay Friedrichsen; his maternal grandparents; his paternal grandfather; and step-son Larry Thomas. He is survived by his Father Burton Friedrichsen of Cherokee, IA; step-mother, Nancy Friedrichsen of Cherokee, IA; one sister, Amber (Bryan) Roberts of Coeur D'Alene, ID; one nephew, Ethan Friedrichsen of Coeur D'Alene, ID; one niece, Kendall Roberts; grandmother, Dorothy Friedrichsen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
