Verna R. Sticha

October 2, 1915 — May 8, 2010

Verna Sticha, born on October 2, 1915 to Peter and Emma (Ament) Reinert in Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on May 8, 2010. She was actively involved in the Catholic Daughters of America, and worked as a radiology technician in the Iowa State Hospital. Verna married Frances Guertin in Cherokee, Iowa, who preceded her in death. She later married August Sticha in 1979 in Phoenix Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Emma Reinert, her first husband Frances Guertin and her second husband August Sticha. She is survived by her brother Floyd Reinert of Cherokee, Iowa; her sister Helen Elliott of Colorado Springs, Colorado and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Maryhill Visitation Cemetery in rural Cherokee.
