Tribute Video
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.

In lieu of flowers, our family requests that donations in his honor be made to a local organization fund. A venmo account has been established for these donations: @stevedolphdonationfund. When searching, you will find this account located under the business, rather than personal, tab of venmo. K9 Partners for Patriots is a local organization that gives veterans the empowering opportunity to train and care for their own service dog. This is something that we believe may have been tremendously helpful to our dad and an organization we would like to support.
Msgr. Kenneth Seifried
Public visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.

“Although many years have passed, I was surprised at the passing of Steve. Life is way too short. He was a very good friend and teammate when growing up. I will never forgot all the good times spent together, especially the pick-up basketball games in his backyard with his Dad and Alan - great and lasting memories! Rest in peace my old friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends at this difficult time.”

“Steve was the glue to the '84 Cherokee Braves basketball team that went undefeated in the regular season, and that made it to the State tournament. The last time a boys team from Cherokee has made it to state too.
He gave our team it's toughness, and did everything asked for by the coaches.
He didn't care what his stats were, he cared about the team, and winning.
Rest in Peace Dolpher”
